Hello!

As a liberal arts graduate and aerospace engineer, I am very familiar with the struggles that math and science subjects, such as calculus and physics, can present to even the most capable students. As such, I am uniquely attuned to how STEM students of all skill levels and cultural backgrounds come to either understand or misunderstand difficult concepts.

Solitary learning can sometimes be overly abstract and appear to lack immediacy to the student. I encourage students to ask questions about the material they have been assigned and invite them to “look under the hood.” When formulas and equations are merely handed down as tools to be taken for granted, this can dampen a student’s natural curiosity and limit their depth of understanding. I have found that it helpful to examine the reasons why we use such formulas and where they come from.

From plumbing systems to pacemakers, applications of science and math are omnipresent and underpin our modern society. I believe that a good STEM education empowers individuals to more meaningfully contribute to their communities.

If you have any questions for me or would like to schedule a session, feel free to message anytime. I look forward to demystifying your coursework and helping you reach your academic and professional potential.

Highly Competent Engineer

Andrew is able to articulate engineering concepts at a high level. He has a strong understanding of the general engineering subjects and uses his industrial experience to help illustrate concepts practically. He is flexible with his time and has an enjoyable personality. I highly recommend him to anyone who is having trouble with engineering. He is able to solve problems quickly that he may have not seen in years due his approach and critical thinking skills.

Excellent tutor for chemistry

Helpful, knowledgeable and patient. We appreciated that he could accommodate our schedule. His rate is a bit high but it's worth it. He also offered to answer further questions by phone.
