When I do use the wrong word, or expression, Viviana is there to turn it into a teachable moment. Once I mentioned to Viviana that I really wanted to speak Spanish, and she told me that I already do speak Spanish. That was so encouraging because it made me realize I know more than I think I do. By asking me just a few questions Viviana quickly established my level of competence. She let me answer her questions without interrupting, but helped me to correct my grammar and pronunciation.
