I graduated from Florida Institute of Technology with honors in 2015 with degrees in Mathematical Science and STEM Education. Following graduation, I worked in Northern Haiti where I taught Science for grades 6-8 and faciliated a computer based Math program for grades 5-9. I graduated from Florida Institute of Technology with honors in 2015 with degrees in Mathematical Science and STEM Education. Following graduation, I worked in Northern Haiti where I taught Science for grades 6-8 and faciliated a computer based Math program for grades 5-9. After I moved back to the US, I have taught Mathematics at a private school for the past 9 years. I started as the 5-6th grade Mathematics teacher and the Strategic Intervention Coordiantor. Through this program, I worked with struggling students in small groups to target knowledge gaps and improve their confidence. I then moved on to teaching 6-8th grade several years before transitioning to high school courses. At the high school level, I taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Financial Algebra.
In addition to classroom teaching, I also have experience as a private tutor. I have worked one-on-one with students in courses from 1st grade all the way to college level statistics. My favorite part of tutoring is helping students understand Math and gain confidence in their skills.
