I'm a rising sophomore at Duke University studying Clinical Psychology and Computer Science on a pre-medical track. I was selected as a QuestBridge Scholar, a nationally competitive merit-based program that identifies high-achieving students from across the country, and I graduated from the FGCU Honors College through dual enrollment while maintaining a strong academic record. My coursework at Duke has included rigorous college-level biology, chemistry, psychology, and statistics, giving me a current, hands-on understanding of exactly the material most of my students are working through.

My tutoring experience comes from both formal and informal settings. Throughout high school and into college, I've worked one-on-one with peers and younger students to help them navigate challenging coursework in the sciences and standardized test preparation. My approach centers on diagnosing where the confusion actually starts rather than just re-explaining the same material louder. I ask a lot of questions, use real-world analogies to make abstract concepts concrete, and build sessions around what the student needs that day rather than following a rigid script.

I'm most effective with high school students tackling AP Biology, AP Chemistry, introductory Psychology, and SAT/ACT prep, as these align directly with my academic background and genuine interests. I'm also comfortable helping students with college application strategy, having recently navigated that process successfully myself. I'm patient, responsive, and committed to making sure every session moves the needle and not just fills the hour.

Algebra 1

I earned A/A+ grades in Calculus I, Calculus II, and Statistics at the collegiate level, and placed out of Precalculus entirely based on my math placement scores. I also have hands-on tutoring experience working with early college students at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), where I helped peers build foundational math skills, directly relevant to the algebra and pre-algebra concepts covered on the ALEKS placement exam. I am currently a freshman at Duke University, where I continue to build on a strong quantitative foundation through my Computer Science and Premed coursework.
