I recently earned an International MBA and a Master of Science in Finance from Florida International University (GPA 3.86), after completing a dual BBA in International Business & Finance (GPA 3.94, summa cum laude). I’ve passed Level I of the CFA® exam, the SIE, Bloomberg Market Concepts course, and Harvard Business School Publishing’s certifications in spreadsheet modeling and quantitative methods. I was honored with a Distinguished Engagement Award for founding my university’s premier business podcast, where I interviewed faculty experts and introduced multifaceted economic ideas through clear, accessible conversations for broad audiences. As elected representative of my MBA cohort, I regularly organized study sessions where I helped peers analyze financial statements, interpret ratios, develop budgets, and apply quantitative methods. This responsibility strengthened my credibility as an educator and reinforced that effective teaching depends on listening, adapting, and providing frameworks that build independence.
I began tutoring in 2022 during the final stage of my undergraduate program and continued through my master’s, supporting advanced high school and college students in both one-on-one and small group sessions. My preferred practices include creating tailored study guides, project outlines, and practice problems in areas such as valuation, forecasting, and financial statement analysis. I use Excel as my primary teaching platform, building step-by-step models that are comprehensive and easy to revisit. I supplement this with an iPad and virtual whiteboard for interactive walkthroughs, and design mini-PowerPoint lessons to reinforce key concepts.
My approach is grounded in higher-education practice: over the years I’ve worked with a wide range of syllabi, rubrics, and exams and ask students to share theirs in advance. In a free introductory session, we review those materials, align goals, and set expectations for lessons.
