I hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and have four years of teaching experience working with kindergarten through third-grade students. My background has equipped me with a deep understanding of how young children learn best—through hands-on, engaging, and developmentally appropriate instruction that builds confidence and curiosity. I am a certified classroom teacher and have successfully supported a wide range of learners, including students who are developing foundational reading, writing, and math skills as well as those who benefit from enrichment and extension activities.
Throughout my teaching career, I have provided both whole-group instruction and individualized support in literacy and math. I have extensive experience with phonics-based reading instruction, phonemic awareness development, comprehension strategies, and foundational math concepts such as number sense, addition, subtraction, and problem-solving. My tutoring approach is centered on building strong relationships, fostering a growth mindset, and using assessment data to tailor lessons to each child’s specific needs.
I have worked with students one-on-one and in small groups, both in person and virtually. My sessions are interactive and incorporate visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning methods to keep students motivated and engaged. With a nurturing yet structured approach, I help students develop not only academic skills but also confidence in their abilities as learners
