Educating, encouraging, and equipping children and young adults to achieve academic success ~ and collaborating with parents, teachers and other academic personnel is my mission in life. I understand that it is necessary to differentiate my instruction based on the individual needs of my students. Toward that end, I invest my time in a variety of professional development opportunities to ensure that I am maintaining the highest level of service available for my students.
My teaching certification is issued from the state of Florida in Elementary Education Grades K through 5, Middle Grades 5 through 9 Integrated Curriculum, as well as English Speakers of Other Languages. I tutor all subjects through 6th grade and Reading and Language Arts, History and Test Prep through 12th grade. I have been teaching for 19 years in public school education (now retired) and as a private tutor.
My schedule is flexible and easily adaptable to most scheduling requests. You'll find that I am very upbeat and optimistic and can find the good in every situation! I maintain a professional appearance and come to every tutoring appointment prepared with the appropriate resources including the latest technological devices for students who prefer working with computers, etc.
