I remember being in school and all of the challenges that I had to face. There were times when I needed a tutor to help me understand what the lessons were all about. I completed my bachelor's degree in History in 2010. A sibling of a teacher, I am passionate about teaching, and have been tutoring for the past five years. I currently work for a market research firm. I love learning, enjoy just about everything, and am passionate about seeking the Lord's handiwork all around me. One of my favorite things to tutor is history, and I look forward to the opportunity to help your students view this subject as something they can master and enjoy.

While the standards may be common, I know that students are not - they each have their own learning journey. That's why I'm committed to personalized learning that lets students practice what they most need help on, at their own pace.

I was a long term substitute teacher for a forth grade class for five months. There were a few students who were getting behind on some of the material that was being covered. By staying after school I was able to help those students understand the material.

I have helped children identify the letters of the alphabet. There have been times when I have the students easily read and decode words with more than one syllable, including the sounds represented by consonants and vowels, consonant blends and digraphs. I have been proficient in tutoring how to break a word down into syllables, or use syllabication. I have helped students recognize suffixes and inflectional endings. I have also helped the students identify compound words.
