I am a certified K–12 bilingual and Special Education educator with 17+ years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish Language and Instruction from BYU. I am a certified K–12 bilingual and Special Education educator with 17+ years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish Language and Instruction from BYU. I’ve had the joy of teaching students from Pre-K through high school, including Spanish I–IV, bilingual education, ESL, and Special Education, in both classroom and online settings. I am also trained in dyslexia intervention and second-language literacy. I truly believe every student can learn—the key is finding the way that makes learning click for them. I’m patient, encouraging, and love breaking difficult concepts into simple, manageable steps. I also provide students with digital resources they can use to practice and reinforce their learning at home between tutoring sessions. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating their progress. My goal isn’t just to help with an assignment or test, but to help each student build skills, confidence, and a genuine belief in what they can accomplish.

Approved Subjects

Dyslexia

Dyslexia

I received specialized dyslexia training through Dallas ISD in the Esperanza program, a structured Spanish-language literacy intervention designed to support students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties. My training included explicit, systematic, multisensory instruction in phonological awareness, phonics, decoding, spelling, reading fluency, and comprehension. As a bilingual educator, I understand how reading difficulties can present differently across Spanish and English and can adapt instruction to meet each student’s individual needs. I focus on breaking skills into manageable steps, providing plenty of guided practice, and helping students develop confidence as readers.
Elementary (K-6th)

Elementary (K-6th)

I am a certified educator with extensive experience teaching elementary students in both bilingual and general education settings. I have taught and supported students across core subjects, including reading, writing, math, science, and social studies, while adapting instruction to different learning styles and ability levels. My background in ESL, Special Education, dyslexia, and literacy instruction helps me identify learning gaps and explain concepts in ways that make sense to each child. I use engaging, age-appropriate activities and digital resources to reinforce learning at home while helping students become more confident and independent learners.
Special Needs

Special Needs

I am a certified K–12 Special Education educator with experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in both general and special education settings. As a Special Education Case Manager, I developed and implemented individualized education plans (IEPs), monitored student progress, provided accommodations and differentiated instruction, and collaborated closely with families and multidisciplinary teams. I am also trained in dyslexia intervention, ESL, and bilingual education, which allows me to adapt instruction using scaffolding, visual supports, multisensory strategies, and step-by-step instruction. My goal is to discover how each student learns best and help them build both academic skills and confidence.
