I understand that sometimes all it takes is a little extra support to overcome the roadblocks we face on our academic journey, and through my experiences with students, I’ve learned that everyone learns differently. I take the time to pinpoint each student’s individual challenges so we can address what is hindering their ability to understand or learn new information.
I’m in my final year of college finishing my B.S. in psychology, and I have over five years of experience working as a full-time au pair and homeschool educator. I taught children ages 5 to 16, including students with learning challenges, and handled everything from lesson planning to delivering a full core-subject curriculum that met state standards, even while the family traveled often. My focus has always been on making learning engaging while helping students catch up, build confidence, and transition smoothly back into traditional school settings.
One student I taught from age five to ten is now testing two years ahead of his peers, and I continued supporting him after he entered public school to help him thrive.
