I am an International Master with a FIDE rating above 2500 and multiple Grandmaster norms. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, reflecting my dedication to disciplined study and teaching. I have spent nearly 20 years playing chess competitively, including almost a decade coaching tournament-level players. I specialize in helping students improve from beginner levels up to a 2300 ELO rating through structured training focused on deepening tactical vision, positional understanding, key game analysis, and building strong opening repertoires.
In addition to classical chess, I have extensive experience in rapid, blitz, and bullet formats, currently holding a 3000+ bullet rating on both Lichess and Chess.com, with excellent results against high-level competition. I have been privileged to train under several International Masters and Grandmasters, and I bring that high-level insight into every lesson.
While I follow a structured coaching method, I strongly believe in tailoring each lesson to the individual goals and needs of my students. Lessons are 100% personalized and include PGN files, homework, opening repertoire files, and training plans upon request, with ongoing support between sessions. I teach in English and Spanish, offer sessions via Zoom and Skype, and charge $60 per hour or $270 for a five-class package. My time zone is Eastern Standard Time.
