I have college degrees in both mathematics (BS) and computer science (BS and MS).
I have taught AP Computer Science A in high school and java in college for several years. I have also taught algebra at a local community college.
Prior to that I worked for many years as a senior development engineer in the software industry.

Having worked in the software industry, I know the relevance and importance of these subjects, as well as their practical applications.
