Your own personal professor! I am a university professor and veteran tutor with over twenty years of experience tutoring all levels of secondary science, mathematics, and humanities. I hold a Ph.D. in cognitive semiotics from Indiana University of PA, as well as degrees from the University of Miami (Neuroscience and Medieval Literature) and Florida Atlantic University (Psychology, English, and Anthropology). I have tutored high school courses throughout the country, as well as abroad, so I have a wide range of teaching experience. I also have extensive experience tutoring at the college level, and as a professor, I have taught university-level courses in chemistry, psychology, philosophy, and English. Regardless of their level or the subject, my students always improve tremendously after we work together--and they enjoy themselves in the process! My goal is to provide maximum clarity combined with a practical, hands-on approach. I prefer to have students work side by side with me on problems so that they can leave our session with both maximum retention and ultimate confidence. I also strive to incorporate real-life connections into every tutorial in order to bring otherwise abstract knowledge in contact with everyday life.
