I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)-prepared nurse practitioner with a strong clinical background in clinical practice and a passion for helping students succeed in nursing and healthcare education. I am also a former foreign-educated physician who earned a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery in 2009. My diverse educational and professional background has provided me with a deep understanding of medicine, nursing, patient care, and evidence-based practice across multiple healthcare settings. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have developed advanced knowledge in pathophysiology, pharmacology, health assessment, cardiovascular medicine, and clinical decision-making. As both a practicing clinician and lifelong learner, I understand the challenges students face in rigorous healthcare programs and enjoy helping them build confidence while mastering difficult material.
My teaching style is patient-centered, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual learning needs. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods using real-world clinical examples, interactive discussions, study strategies, practice questions, and simplified explanations of complex concepts. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them develop the critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills necessary to become safe, knowledgeable, and confident healthcare professionals.
In addition to my clinical experience, I have extensive experience educating patients, mentoring nursing students and colleagues, and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams. These experiences have strengthened my communication and teaching abilities while allowing me to work with learners from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds. Whether assisting students with nursing coursework, NCLEX preparation, advanced practice concepts, or healthcare sciences, I am passionate about making learning approachable, practical, and empowering for every student I work with.
