Hi, I'm Breana! After earning my B.A. from Vanderbilt, I traveled to Europe to pursue an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree. I was able to find a job in my field shortly after, though I eventually returned to Europe to pursue a PhD. I've earned three degrees without taking on student debt, and I credit my willingness to explore education options abroad for helping me study on a budget.

I want to help students and families better understand their options since students today face unprecedented uncertainty due to rising college costs in the U.S. and evolving federal policies on accountability and financial aid. However, affordable alternatives, including international universities, are available for those seeking higher education. Further demonstrating my commitment to helping students responsibly, I took part in the International Education Consulting Association’s 2023 Summer Training Institute and completed the College Advising Program at Teachers College, Columbia University.

I have five years of experience teaching undergraduate and graduate students in classroom settings during the last five years. Most of my one-on-one sessions have been with non-traditional students returning for or finishing their degrees. I am eager to support any student interested in exploring what the international education system can offer and will provide guidance through program selection, personal statement structure and editing, and financial planning.
