I have a Master of Arts degree in communication. For several years I have been working as a professional journalist and for more than 15 years I am teaching English Composition, Literature, and Public Speaking courses in different colleges and universities, including Miami Dade College, Miami Art and Design University, and Keiser University. I also have extensive tutoring and College prep experience. I have assisted many students in preparing for college admission essays and college composition courses. I always take the time to carefully explain and break down content because I understand that many students are intimidated by the required quality of academic writing, reading, and speaking. It is normal, and we will discuss this as part of student’s training.
I am experienced in one-on-one tutoring as well as group instruction and have addressed people of all ages, ethnicities, and cultural backgrounds ( fluently speaking Russian and Spanish helps me to facilitate the tutoring process for non-native English speaking students.) I always provide for my students a positive and secure experience, and they enjoy, what they call it, my energetic enthusiasm. Moreover, they have shown constant growth in their written and oral communication skills.
