Bio

I have a Master's in Education. I was licensed in Illinois and Florida to teach elementary and middle school. I have taught as a substitute teacher in Seminole and Volusia Counties. A tutoring opportunity came along through my job, and I have tutored on and off ever since. I have tutored reading, writing, math, and English and Greek as a second language.

My background in law and business makes me very knowledgeable in a variety of areas. In addition to being an attorney, I have worked for financial institutions in Chicago. In addition, my living abroad and my traveling experiences add layers of interest for my students. I have lived in South Africa, Greece, as a small child. My parents were Greek Immigrants, and I speak Greek fluently and have been bilingual.

I am a Native Greek Speaker. I attended Elementary Greek School and took Greek Language classes in college.
I have tutored children learning Greek as a second language helping children learn this complex language.

I was certified in teaching the Language Arts and hold a Master's Degree in Education. I have an exceptional understanding of the English Language in oral and written form. I have drafted numerous complex legal documents and communications as well as made oral presentations. I have tutored numerous children in reading and writing at schools and libraries.

I have been certified in Illinois and Florida to teach K-6 and can renew my certifications if I chose to do so.

I have an interesting background and experience that I bring to my students with my business background and tutoring experience.
The students will be offered alternative ways to learn in an encouraging and positive environment at their own pace.
My students will have an opportunity to express themselves about what they are reading and writing.
A variety of reading sources and writing topics will be offered to keep the student interested and engaged.
