Hello! I'm Smruti, and I bring over 30 years of experience as a math educator, a master’s degree in mathematics, and a deep passion for helping students grow in skill and confidence. Whether you're working through Algebra, tackling Calculus, preparing for an exam, or returning to math after a break, I offer a personalized, compassionate, and concept-driven approach to help you thrive.
I've taught everything from middle school math to college-level Multivariable Calculus, Statistics, and Differential Equations. I’ve worked with students of all ages and backgrounds—in classrooms, small groups, and one-on-one. My unique strength lies in combining deep subject expertise with patient, supportive teaching that meets each learner where they are.
I hold an M.S. in Mathematics from Kansas State University and 33 additional graduate credit hours in math and statistics, with continuing education in inclusive pedagogy, curriculum design, grant writing, and Embodiology®. I’ve taught at institutions such as Rollins College, Valencia College, and Socrates Prep School. I’ve also led curriculum development in K–12 schools and supported new course tracks like Data Science and Financial Algebra.
For more than a decade, I have provided one-on-one tutoring to students ranging from age 10 through adulthood. My tutoring is deeply personalized and supports a wide variety of learners, including those navigating test anxiety, learning gaps, or transitions back into academic study.
My tutoring sessions are tailored to each student’s needs—whether addressing math anxiety, preparing for standardized tests, or supporting advanced learners. I integrate visual tools, real-world examples, and reflective dialogue to help students build lasting understanding and confidence.
If you're seeking a tutor who can meet you where you are and guide you toward where you want to be—with skill, patience, and care—I’d be honored to support your journey.
Let’s work together to make math feel meaningful, manageable, and even enjoyable.
