Hi ya'll! I'm Rachel, and I am a Florida state certified secondary English Language Arts teacher with an ESOL endorsement. I have been in the classroom for over 5 years and I love watching my students apply what they learn in the classroom to their own lives. To me, the word "fail" is an acronym for "first attempt in learning." Students make mistakes, and they can adapt to create a better outcome the next time around. I fully believe that through trial and error, in addition to having a proper skill set and motivation, any student can be successful in and out of the classroom!

I've been tutoring my students on the side every year after school.

I have earned a Bachelor's of Science degree for Secondary English Language Arts Education 6-12 with an ESOL endorsement, as well as a Master's of Arts degree in English and Creative Writing with a minor in Fiction. I've tutored for both the SAT and ACT Reading, English, and Writing sections. I've also tutored for high school English classes, as well as College Board Advanced Placement Language and Composition courses, and College Board Advanced Placement Literature and Composition courses. I typically hold tutoring after school and let the students tell me what they feel they are struggling in. I prefer to tutor one-on-one or in small groups of 3 to 5 students.

I want students to not be afraid of making mistakes and learning from them. I want my students to feel confident and apply their knowledge to the best of their abilities.
