Hello! I'm Elizabeth B. I am a 28-year veteran teacher and I recently earned a doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction. I have taught at all grade levels, mostly focusing on reading and English, but I can support students in math, too. I've taught Honors and preIB English at a Florida high school. I have also taught Intensive reading and Language Arts at various levels including Elementary, Middle, and High School. My undergraduate focus was on teaching children with special needs including learning disabilities and the gifted and talented population. Furthermore, I am also certified to work with ELL students. I spent almost a decade tutoring students as they prepared for their SAT and ACT tests.
I enjoy seeing students succeed. When I have clarified, retaught, or eliminated confusion, and I see students' eyes light up with understanding, I am thrilled. Sometimes all it takes is a caring adult taking the time to listen to a student. I am happy to play a small part in a young person's success.
I am certified to teach English, Elementary, ELL, and Special Education students. I have endorsements in Reading and Gifted, along with 28 years of successful teaching. I have been voted Reading Teacher of the Year for the School District of Osceola County and also named as a High Impact Teacher. I am passionate about learning.
I am excited to work with you and watch you succeed! Feel free to contact me with any questions. How can I help you be the best you can be?
