He really breaks things down for you and will make sure you understand what he’s teaching you, if you struggle with math I would recommend 100% I’ve struggled with math all my life and I’m just now starting to understand it more because of him, and he’s very encouraging and motivates you to do better, great tutor

Knowledgeable tutor
Stephen is working with my son to improve his ASVAB score, particularly with math. Stephen is able to break the problem down to help my son understand how to solve the problem and help refresh his memory since it's been a long time since he's used math. I greatly appreciate all of Stephen's help. He's responsive and flexible with scheduling. Stephen is an excellent tutor and I highly recommend him! (4 sessions to date)

Stephen clearly communicated his plan for identifying trouble areas and still left room for variation based on how my son was receiving the instruction. He's set a foundation for learning and understanding in the first two meetings. So far, so good!

Our son's tutoring session went very well with Stephen. My son was pleased with all of the tips and personalized information given to help his specific needs to bring up his ACT scores. He has a positive attitude and such a great rapport with our high school senior who struggles with certain concepts in math (and other areas). He's only been to one session so far but Stephen has been so helpful and has multiple ways of explaining a mathematical equation/ concept, to find the ideal learning technique for our son. Tutoring is twice a week and we are excited to his progress. Our son's confidence has already started improving in this area and we are so glad we made this decision. We highly recommend Stephen! Our daughter, Abby, is a senior in high school and has struggled with math since elementary school. She has been preparing to take the ASVAB (military entrance exam) for the USMC, but did not pass in August 2023. We began searching for a tutor that could specifically support her with the ASVAB and tried several from Wyzant before finding Stephen. Stephen began working with Abby in August and was able to pinpoint where she was struggling. He immediately got to work on preparing lessons, practice tests and honed in on the foundational skills that were causing her to struggle. Stephen's went above and beyond at each session....he was always prepared and so patient. He knew that this was a dream of hers and supported her along the way. On February 20, 2024, Abby took the ASVAB again and passed. She officially gave her oath to the USMC on 2/21/2024 and we cannot thank Stephen enough; we're forever grateful. He is the absolute best tutor!

Absolutely amazing
Stephen is my fourth grader tutor. my son has struggled with reading and predominantly math and as a mom, I felt overwhelmed and defeated. My son has a stuttering disability which tremendously affects his learning and his confidence… From the first time, my son has linked up with Steven. His confidence is through the roof he is excited to learn and participate in school and is excited about each tutoring session. My kid did a whole 360 Stephen was the perfect match for my son…. I am so excited that I found him from his teaching skills to his patience to his knowledge….by session two he went from tutor to uncle steve he is forever stuck with us im making olans to secure him during the summmer…. Thank you Stephen for all that you do absolutely exceptional.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor definitely recommend especially for ASVAB prep! Has had 7+ years working with the ASVAB and then some! Stephen know's how the test works so therefore has some really informative/helpful strategies that work when it comes to the real deal!
