My name is Anny, and I have been teaching French and Spanish for over seventeen years. I hold a bachelor's degree in Modern Languages, formally evaluated course by course for U.S. equivalency, and I am a native Spanish speaker who is fluent in French. I completed studies in France at the Université de Franche-Comté and at the Université de Genève, and I am a member of the American Association of Teachers of French.
I have taught learners of all ages and levels, from young children and teenagers to adults, and including university-level students. My approach is communicative and personalized: rather than drilling grammar in isolation, I build each lesson around real conversation and the student's own goals, weaving in grammar, pronunciation, and culture as they become relevant. I find students learn fastest in a patient, encouraging space where speaking feels natural from the very first day.
Today I run my own tutoring practice, designing custom materials for each learner and tracking progress session by session. Whether a student needs to pass a test, keep pace in a class, or hold a confident conversation, I adapt to the way they learn best, and I make the process genuinely enjoyable along the way.
