Hi! I'm Rachel, and I'm a Japanese/English teacher. Why? Because I love Japan! I'm also a native English speaker from America, and I love to teach! It's rewarding and fun to see my students succeed! My hobbies are outdoor sports, karaoke, travel, and studying new languages.

Hi! I'm Rachel, and I'm a Japanese/English teacher. Why? Because I love Japan! I'm also a native English speaker from America, and I love to teach! It's rewarding and fun to see my students succeed! My hobbies are outdoor sports, karaoke, travel, and studying new languages.

I am a TEFL certified, experienced instructor with a B.S. in Biology. I also lived in Japan for 10 years teaching English to children and adults (ages 2-70 years old). I taught in the Japanese public school system for grades K-6 and in cram schools; helping businessmen, retirees, travel lovers, and test prep students meet their goals and speak with confidence! Through a mix of CLT and TBLT teaching methods students are encouraged to speak up and enjoy real live conversations, practice vocabulary words, grammar, and clear pronunciation.
