I am an experienced elementary educator with several years of classroom teaching experience working with young learners in reading, phonics, writing, math, and general academic support. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Education from National Louis University in Chicago. I also hold Florida teaching certifications and endorsements in elementary education, reading, and ESOL. My experience includes working with students across the elementary grades in whole-group, small-group, and one-on-one settings.
My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and highly individualized. I am especially skilled at breaking difficult concepts into smaller, manageable steps and using repetition, visuals, guided practice, and hands-on strategies to help students build both understanding and confidence. I have experience supporting students who need extra reinforcement, additional structure, or a different approach than what they may be receiving in the classroom.
I can support students with foundational reading and phonics skills, reading comprehension, elementary math, writing, homework help, study skills, and general academic reinforcement. I believe every child learns differently, and my goal is to meet students where they are while helping them become more confident and independent learners.
