It takes time to learn how to teach to get the results that the student's require and parents are happy with. I have a degree in Educational Social Work as well as an MBA. I am from Hawaii and have worked with many different cultures and people requiring many different learning techniques. The last few years I have been teaching in Hong Kong and Mainland China. Why? I wanted to challenge myself and really look at my skills to see if they can work in different settings. They did.
I never expected to become a teacher. It was a process that came to me. I accepted it. As a parent, it is important to find a teacher who will connect with the student and be able to get the best from that student. Learning should be a fun process. If you are having fun and enjoying the process, then the student will learn and retain the information better. So, as a teacher, I promise to get the results that are needed for the student to be a success. Thank you.
