Hello! I'm Nathan: a certified English teacher with a broad range of teaching and tutoring experience. I graduated magna cum laude from Stetson University with a degree in English. During my time in university, I worked as a writing tutor for a year, interned with the School District of Palm Beach County, and even had creative writing published! Since then, I have worked for two years as a 7th and 8th grade English teacher, where I have worked extensively with students of a variety of achievement levels.
During my time at Stetson University's Writing Center, I made it a priority to provide each learner with not only ways to improve the writing at hand, but with actionable steps to improve their writing moving forward. To this day, I extend this philosophy to the classroom, where each question asked regarding a specific text leads to broader reading strategies. In my time as a middle school language arts teacher, the most gratifying part of my work has been seeing the teaching process convert students into avid readers.
