Hello all, Amanda here! I am a University of Florida graduate with a bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and a knack for teaching. I have been tutoring test prep for 2 years now, and I've got a variety of teaching strategies to choose from based on your specific goals. I specialize in teaching math from arithmetic/pre algebra to geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. I am available to aid in your SAT/ACT exam prep journey or take charge and coach you through the whole process. I can also help with school work, whether you are falling behind or not being challenged enough.

I feel comfortable and at ease when explaining tricky concepts. I do not spoon feed, but I do encourage a fundamental mathematical understanding with quick and palatable proofs, a variety of ways to get to the same answer, and thought-provoking questions. With my teaching style, I strike a sweet balance with dry math instruction and occasional relevant humor. This keeps students interested and morale high. My favorite part of teaching is seeing students understand things and consistently "get" concepts that previously seemed unattainable. We'll work with your school work, or I can provide materials.

I've tutored students from 6th grade to college freshman in subjects from pre algebra to calculus. I consistently receive positive feedback on my teaching style and efficacy.
