Hello,

I have worked in education for the past 12 years. I have my Master’s degree in Elementary Education as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.... I know, a little strange! I worked in higher education (admissions, career development, tutoring, teaching and mentoring) for about 5 years when I decided to go back and get my teaching degree and state certification. I wanted to learn the foundations, theory and methods of education so I would have the ability to communicate more effectively with my students. That foundation also helped me to raise my special needs son who was struggling with both schoolwork and daily life skills. I am proud to say he, as well as my other two wonderful girls, are doing well in school and have a more positive outlook on their future.

We moved to the area in August and therefore my career has changed. I am spending time focusing on my three beautiful kids and with my husband’s job change; I no longer need to work full time. I am currently a substitute teacher for Duval County as well as several private schools in the area. I work well with both children and adults and specialize in those students who may have some special needs. Let me know how I can help you or your student achieve their goals!
