In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

This course is a core foundation class for math. Combining like terms, solving equations and graphing lines are only a few of the topics that continue long after Algebra I finishes. Integers, fractions and decimals also play a large role in this course.

Algebra II is the core math in the high school curriculum. Students need a thorough understanding to successfully complete College Algebra freshman year. I have experience with Algebra II, Algebra II Honors, and College Algebra so I can offer experience and perspective.

I have a masters in Mathematics Education and over 10 years experience in PreCalculus, Calculus 1 and Calculus 2.

This course is the study of shapes, logic and fine tuning Algebra I skills. 2-D and 3-D shapes are defined and studied in depth. Logic is used to create and prove arguments. Algebra I is used extensively throughout the course.

This course focuses on the skills needed to be a successful Algebra I students. Integers, combining like terms, ratios, fractions, decimals and an introduction to variables are some of the many topics students will study throughout the year.

PreCalculus is the bridge course in the high school sequence. It bridges Algebra and Calculus. The focus of the course is to shore up algebra skill and to master trigonometry. With experience as an AP Calculus teacher, I know the topics and skills needed not only to pass precalculus but to be successful in calculus as well.

Masters degree from University of North Florida in Secondary Mathematics Education. 13 years teaching experience at the high school level and 6 years as an adjunct professor. I have taught Pre-Calculus with Trigonometry, AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC since my third year teaching.
