Hi, my name is Eric! I'm a native Floridian and proud Duke University alumn. I graduated Summa Cum Laude (highest honors) with a 4.0 GPA, majoring in Computer Science + Premedicine. I've spent half a decade tutoring standardized tests and college applications. I've also taught machine learning at the college level, authored and edited multiple published research manuscripts, and even started my own nonprofit teaching elementary school students. I'm a fun, friendly, and patient mentor with experience communicating complex ideas, adapting to different learning styles, and building trusted mentorship relationships.
I have 5+ years of experience developing a personalized approach that brings out the best in each student throughout their college admissions journey. My students have gotten into schools ranging from Ivy League universities like Yale and Brown, to private research schools like NYU and UChicago, to state schools like the University of Florida, to art schools like Pratt Institute. My all-in-one college advising and mentorship approach combines standardized test preparation (PSAT, SAT, ACT) with college admissions consulting to help students build and communicate their unique college profile.
My standardized testing tutoring helps students tackle the new suite of digital PSAT, SAT, and ACT exams by emphasizing an understanding of the “why” behind concepts, skill recognition, and mental flexibility. My curriculum includes a diagnostic-driven study plan, 1-on-1 content and strategy preparation, and curated practice content and mock tests.
My advising follows an organized timeline for building a “college narrative”: brainstorming activities and opportunities, developing a cohesive college profile, putting that story on paper through application review and live/asynchronous essay workshops, and preparing for college interviews.
