Hi, I’m Yash. I’m currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in information technology. I’m in my junior year. I have many years of experience in French and history. I have passed the International Baccalaureate French 5 exam and the International Baccalaureate Contemporary History Exam. For French specifically, I have been speaking and writing French for the past 8 years. I excel in speaking French. I will guide students step by step through a conversation in order for them to fully grasp how to speak the language. I will also break down the sentences in order for them to fully learn how to write too. I have written multiple essays in French, including a dissertation. I also regularly watch French films, including those of Godard.
For history, I have passed the Advanced Placement World, European, and US history courses. I am an avid history and French geek. My tutoring methods include walking students step by step through their questions and homework, breaking down the logic and putting the historical events in context. I have 10+ years of experience in history and US government. My history and government experience relates to learning where events fit into the context of the global tapestry and how processes work. Historical point of view and evaluating the credibility of sources and accounts is a major part of history in which I excel at, having written 40+ DBQs, SAQs, and LEQs for the Advanced Placement courses and 20+ essays for the IB course.
