Hello! My name is Michael, and I hold a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of North Florida. I have over ten years of experience tutoring students in physics, chemistry, and mathematics. My academic background has given me a deep understanding of the logical and analytical thinking behind these subjects, and I enjoy helping students develop that same sense of clarity and confidence. Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of learners—from high school students preparing for standardized exams, to college students tackling advanced coursework in physics, chemistry, and mathematics.
In addition to private tutoring, I have worked in college tutoring centers and led small-group review sessions. These experiences have strengthened my ability to explain complex topics clearly and adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs. I focus on creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenges. My students often tell me they appreciate my patience, my clear explanations, and my ability to make difficult material feel accessible and manageable.
My tutoring philosophy centers on helping students build deep conceptual understanding rather than relying solely on memorization. I emphasize problem-solving, critical thinking, and connecting theory to real-world applications—skills that serve students well beyond the classroom. My goal is to help each learner develop confidence and independence, equipping them with the tools they need to succeed academically and think like scientists and mathematicians. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your learning journey.
