Hi there!

I am excited to share my background and passion for tutoring with you. I thoughtfully consider how students interact with the material to ensure that each session is both effective and meaningful.

I hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics and Statistics and bring over 15 years of experience tutoring subjects such as Mathematics, Statistics, and Data Science. I have taught high school students through Northwestern University's Center for Talent Development Program and have spent 15 years teaching college-level courses for math, statistics, and engineering majors, covering topics from elementary statistics and mathematics to advanced graduate-level material. In addition to my academic experience, I worked at the Mayo Clinic, where I contributed to genetic research, trained and assisted medical doctors, and designed and analyzed the statistical components of their research papers.

My experience spans working with elementary school students to mentoring high school and college learners. I also hold an online teaching certification, which has equipped me with proven instructional methodologies tailored to meet each student’s unique needs. I take a creative approach to tutoring, connecting complex mathematical and statistical concepts to real-life examples and emphasizing the reasoning behind them to make learning more relatable and intuitive.

Throughout my career, I have seen firsthand how a personalized, student-centered approach can transform the learning experience and significantly boost a student’s confidence. My tutoring style is built on creating a supportive, interactive environment where students feel empowered to ask questions and engage deeply with the material. I design my lessons with practical examples and real-world applications and adjust my teaching style to fit each student’s interests and learning preferences.
