Hi, I'm David! I am an experienced educator with a strong background in teaching Math to high school students and ESOL to adult learners. My approach focuses on making complex concepts accessible through structured explanations, real-world applications, and interactive learning strategies. I am especially well-versed in encouraging struggling students to believe in what they can achieve by providing small wins and easy tips for the classroom and tests.
I hold a Bachelor's in the Education field, and Master's in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and have obtained TESOL certification and a Math Teaching Certification in Florida. These equip me with the skills to effectively teach both Math and English to diverse learners.

I have been teaching for 6 years full time and tutoring off and on since I graduated from high school. I have worked with a range of students from 1st grade to adult students in one-on-one and classroom settings. My math instruction covers foundational concepts through specific skill-building and standard's based questions, adapting to each student's needs and learning style. I incorporate visual aids, step-by-step breakdowns, and applied problem-solving techniques to build confidence and mastery in the classroom, on a test, and in real-life scenarios.

I also speak Spanish at an intermediate level, which allows me to support Spanish-speaking students in both math and language learning. My diverse background enables me to help students build strong foundational skills in math while also supporting English language development where needed. This allows me to help my students holistically.
