Hi, I’m Emily! I am a current student at the University of Florida seeking a degree in Mathematics. Prior to my coursework at the University of Florida, I took many rigorous math classes including AP's, received a 770 on the math section of the SAT, and was a National Merit Commended student for my high score on the PSAT.
I have hands on experience helping students succeed in Algebra 1 and Calculus. I feel that as a student myself, who recently took many of these courses, I am better able to explain these topics to students in a way that makes sense to them. I break down concepts and build on them as the student gains deeper understanding. I also take students through many example problems to help them truly understand how to work them out in different situations. Once the student shows a level of understanding, I will test them by having them lead me through many questions themselves, providing assistance as needed.
My tutoring experience is in middle school to high school level. I typically teach in 1-1 settings but am also able to offer small group tutoring. I am excited to help students reach their full potential in their math studies. Reach out to me with any questions!
