Hello! My name is Michael, and I’m currently a full-time high school math teacher teaching Algebra 1 and Math for College Algebra. I work with students every day who have different learning styles and different levels of confidence in math, so I’ve learned how important it is to explain ideas in a clear and simple way. One of the things I enjoy most about teaching is seeing students go from feeling frustrated with a problem to suddenly understanding it and solving it on their own.

I studied both Physics and Mathematics in college, which gave me a strong background in problem solving and analytical thinking. Through courses like calculus, differential equations, and physics, I learned to approach math conceptually rather than just memorizing steps. When I tutor students, I focus on helping them understand why a method works so they can apply it confidently on their own.

During tutoring sessions I like to work through problems step by step, ask questions that guide the student’s thinking, and focus on the areas where they may be struggling. My goal is always to build confidence and make math feel more approachable. Whether a student needs help with homework, preparing for a test, or strengthening their algebra foundation, I try to create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
