Hi! I’m Alexandra, a student at the University of Pennsylvania pursuing a B.A. in Astrophysics, with an expected Magna Cum Laude.
Since 2023, I have tutored Pre-Calculus and Calculus 1 at the University of Pennsylvania, and I’ve also served as a Teaching Assistant for Calculus 1 and Physics 1. Through these experiences, I help students understand challenging concepts, build confidence, and develop strong problem-solving skills.
I also have experience in test prep—I earned a 36 on the ACT and am comfortable with the test format, section-specific strategies, and personalized study approaches.
Beyond college-level subjects, I have tutored younger students in math and science, including Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Biology, Environmental Science, and physical sciences for elementary students. I adapt lessons to each student’s goals and learning style, making sure every session is productive and engaging.
In addition to tutoring, I conduct research in astrophysics, analyzing complex data sets and solving challenging problems. I’ve completed advanced coursework in Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Computational Physics, and I’m also familiar with Python, MATLAB, and data-driven problem solving—skills I can share with students interested in computational approaches.
Outside of academics, I enjoy rowing, baking, music theory, and exploring literature. I look forward to helping students achieve their goals and discover the joy of learning!
