Hello! My name is Dr. A.
I hold a PhD in Classics from the University of Toronto, and over the past fifteen years, I have lived and worked in several countries teaching at various educational institutions. My academic journey has been deeply rooted in the humanities, philosophy, and mathematics, allowing me to offer a highly versatile and well-rounded tutoring experience to my students.
I have extensive experience teaching Latin to all age groups, ranging from introductory adult courses to AP Vergil and Golden Age poetry for high schoolers. I am experienced in teaching via traditional and immersion methods, and I also have a background studying Biblical or Classical Greek and Biblical Hebrew in immersion. I am highly experienced in teaching math to students in grades 8-12, specifically Calculus, Euclidean Geometry, and Algebra.
With an MA in Philosophy and years of experience teaching university-level introductory philosophy and classical logic, I can help students navigate complex texts, understand metaphysics, and develop strong critical thinking skills. I have freelance translating experience in Spanish, French, and German, and I have professional experience teaching English as a Second Language to business clients.
