I hold a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Public Policy and Administration with a specialization in Criminal Justice, a Master of Public Administration (MPA), and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology. My doctoral dissertation, Crime Reduction Strategies of Florida Sheriff's Offices Related to Residential Burglaries, examined evidence-based approaches used by Florida sheriff's offices to reduce residential burglary rates. The dissertation is publicly available through internet search engines and academic databases.

Over the past 14 years, I have taught students across all educational levels in traditional classroom, online, and one-on-one learning environments. I currently serve as an adjunct instructor at two colleges, teaching a variety of undergraduate criminal justice and public safety administration courses, including Emergency Planning and Preparedness, Policy Development and Implementation, Foundations of Public Safety Administration, Grant Administration and Resources, Public Budgeting and Finance, and Community Relations: Theory and Practice. In addition, I teach Homeland Security courses at the associate, bachelor's, and master's degree levels.

As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Bachelor of Public Safety Administration program, I have developed course objectives, established student learning outcomes, selected instructional resources, and served as a peer reviewer for public safety courses. I am proficient in both Blackboard and Canvas learning management systems and have extensive experience designing and delivering engaging online instruction.

In addition to my higher education teaching experience, I have worked as an online International English Tutor for the past eight years, providing English language instruction to students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds worldwide. This experience has further strengthened my ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet the unique needs of learners with varying educational backgrounds and learning styles.
