Depending on subject(s), I use comparative information acquisition, discussion and communication methods to master integration of theory and practical use of the relevant issue(s) chosen for tutoring and mentoring.
I also incorporate appropriate business and research insights to bring out the socio-economic impact(s) of the issues and their importance in responding to personal, academic and professional development needs, at all levels.
During the last 10 years in Dade County, I have tutored (ad hoc) graduate students in Education (Florida International University), undergraduate Health Administration (Barry University, and diverse environmental and health specialist teams in scientific and business computing performing personnel and state agency performance improvements.
I have taught physical sciences and information technology in three universities in Jeddah-Saudi Arabia (Assistant Professor in Seismology and Petroleum Geology), Richardson-Texas (Teaching and Technical Assistant in Geophysics and Computers), and in Bogota-Colombia (Lecturer of Geo-sciences for science teachers).
Over the last 30 years, I have participated in significant energy research and development projects and other applied science projects in four countries where I have provided training and mentoring to co-workers. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I hold an MBA from Florida International University and a Certification of Merit in Management from Oral Roberts University. I have over two decades of multi-discipline work and education experience that required KSA's in research and development, business development, quality improvement and in technology transfer. My main employers: The State of Florida, King Abdulaziz University, Amoco Research Center and Amoco Corporation, Shell Oil Technology Center The University of Texas at Dallas and Texas Petroleum Company.
As a multi-professional in the Earth, Environmental and Management sciences with and having graduated with a PhD in Geo-sciences (Geophysics), two MS (equivalents) in Geology and Seismology and an MBA, I am well prepared to consult and advise individuals and organizations on career development with focus in the global market.
