I am Emilio H., and I am currently a PGY-1 Psychiatry Resident. I have always been passionate about teaching and helping others reach their goals. I take my time to know the students that I am working with so that I can best help them self-actualize and become their own best advocators. While at the University of Miami pursuing my degree in Neuroscience, I was the lead student peer advisor for three years. In addition, I was also a TA for research mentoring classes that introduced students to the research methodology. I have a lot of experience navigating through the pre-med process, including scheduling the MCAT, the AAMC application, letters of recommendation, crafting personal statements, and learning the technique to master the USMLE exams.
In addition, I work with students at the graduate, college, or high school level in all biology, anatomy, and microbiology courses, as I have also completed them at the medical school level. I am also able to tutor Algebra, statistics, and biostatistics at all levels.
I have experience helping high school students prepare, review, and fill in their common applications with admissions in the top 25 national universities.
I received an A in all of my math courses in my undergraduate career. In addition, I have volunteered for over 100 hours in all high school math classes. I have always loved and found a deep interest in statistics and biostatistics; I have taken and passed those courses at the High School, undergraduate, and Medical school levels.
