Native Venezuelan Spanish speaker with a 30 + year trajectory working as a journalist in Univision, a television network that is the largest provider of Spanish language content in the United States.
After more than 30 years living and working in the United States, I'm fully bilingual and fluent in English.
My more than three decade career as a journalist has been shaped by storytelling. Now I love helping students find their voice in both Spanish and English.
I teach Spanish at every level, from beginners to advanced learners, including Creative Writing in Spanish for university students. I also have experience in providing conversational English classes to ESOL students in both Venezuela and the United States. I also tutor English creative writing for high-school students who want to strengthen their clarity, structure, and expressive style. I am an avid reader of classic and modern literature in both English and Spanish. We can talk about the magic realism of Gabriel Garcia Marquez or short story masters such as Edgar Allen Poe!
I also very much enjoy teaching painting, drawing, and acting to students who want to explore their creativity or develop new artistic skills. My lessons are warm, encouraging, and always tailored to each student's goals.
If you're looking for a tutor who brings together native fluency, professional writing experience, artistic creativity, and a supportive teaching style, I'd be delighted to work with you.
