Hi there! As a passionate and dedicated teacher, my purpose is to inspire engaging learning that encourages all types of learners to reach their full potential. As a certified teacher of Students with Disabilities and a Masters in Education, my goal is to combine my knowledge and experience with my ability to be a compassionate and enthusiastic teacher. Last year, test results showed my students advanced an average of 2 grade levels from reading tutoring over a 6 month period (with 2 times a week reading sessions). Experience with students with moderate disabilities, autism, dyslexia and ADHD.

A parent wrote to me: "We're so lucky to have found you". Seeing their child advance is so rewarding. As soon as they’ve mastered their current level, I’ll expose them to the next level. I pre-teach vocabulary and any words they might not understand.

For emerging readers, I’m trained in the Wilson and Orton Gillingham reading programs. Right now, I am working with an emerging reader on vowel consonant e patters. I use a software where I teach the letter patterns, digraphs and diphthongs. We then read the words in a short story with reading comprehension questions aligned with the lesson’s vocabulary (tailored to the student’s current level.)

I am aware of the rigor in the public school system, and I am fully committed to pushing your student to reach their full potential. I am so excited over the prospect of working together. I am quick to form a positive rapport with your student. My strategy is that students learn from those they know, like, and trust. I am patient, kind, enthusiastic and committed to your students academic success.

Please contact me for a complimentary chat to see if we’re a good fit. Please keep in mind I have several evening slots filled already for 2025, and I schedule tutoring out weeks in advance. My cancellation policy is 4 hours before the session.
