Hello! My name is Sara, and I am currently a third-year medical student pursuing my M.D. at Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM), with a background in Biology from the University of South Florida. Throughout medical school, I have completed extensive coursework in anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pathology, pharmacology, and the basic medical sciences. I have successfully completed the basic science portion of medical school and passed the USMLE Step 1 examination, demonstrating a strong understanding of the foundational medical sciences. I discovered that biology is best understood when difficult concepts are broken down into manageable pieces. Once those smaller pieces make sense, it becomes much easier to understand the bigger picture. Throughout my board exam preparation, I completed numerous NBME practice examinations and extensively used UWorld and AMBOSS, giving me experience with many different ways scientific concepts and exam questions can be presented.

While I am new to professional tutoring, I have spent countless hours helping classmates review material, discuss difficult concepts, and develop effective study strategies. Medical school quickly teaches you how to explain complex topics clearly, collaborate with others, and adapt your explanations until something finally clicks. Over the past three years, I have spent countless hours doing exactly that. My approach focuses on helping students understand why something works instead of simply memorizing facts. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to meet each student's individual needs, learning pace, and academic goals.

Whether you're preparing for an upcoming exam, trying to improve your grades, or simply looking for someone who can explain science in a way that makes sense, my goal is to create a supportive space. My goal is not only to help you succeed on your next exam but also to help you develop the confidence and understanding that will continue to benefit you long after our tutoring sessions.

Approved Subjects

ACT Science

ACT Science

I am a third-year medical student with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and extensive experience interpreting scientific data and research. I help students approach ACT Science passages by efficiently analyzing graphs, tables, experiments, and conflicting viewpoints. My teaching focuses on identifying trends, locating relevant evidence, eliminating incorrect choices, and managing time effectively. My goal is to help students feel less overwhelmed by the passages and become more confident, strategic test-takers.
Anatomy

Anatomy

I am a third-year medical student with extensive training in human anatomy through medical school coursework and the USMLE Step 1 curriculum. I passed the USMLE Step 1 on my first attempt, demonstrating a strong understanding of anatomy and its clinical applications. My studies have emphasized anatomical relationships, neuroanatomy, musculoskeletal anatomy, and organ systems while integrating physiology and pathology. I enjoy helping students move beyond memorization by understanding how anatomy applies to clinical medicine.
Biology

Biology

I am a 3rd-Year Medical Student with Extensive Basice Science Training. I recieved my undergrad degree in Biology from the Unveristy of South Florida where I did a focus on Animal Biology.
Microbiology

Microbiology

I am a third-year medical student with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a strong foundation in microbiology from my undergraduate and medical school coursework. I have experience with bacteriology, virology, mycology, parasitology, immunology, and the clinical presentation of infectious diseases. I help students break down challenging concepts, recognize important patterns, and connect microorganisms with their associated diseases, treatments, and laboratory findings. My goal is to make microbiology easier to understand and apply rather than relying solely on memorization.
Physical Science

Physical Science

I am a third-year medical student with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a strong background in the physical sciences. My undergraduate and medical school coursework included physics, general chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry. I help students understand challenging topics by breaking them into manageable steps and connecting formulas to practical examples. My goal is to strengthen each student’s problem-solving skills and confidence while preparing them for coursework and exams.
Physiology

Physiology

I am a third-year medical student with extensive training in human physiology through medical school coursework and the USMLE Step 1 curriculum. I passed the USMLE Step 1 on my first attempt and have developed a strong understanding of cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, endocrine, gastrointestinal, and neurophysiology. Through extensive practice with USMLE-style question banks, I have learned to apply physiological principles to clinical scenarios rather than simply memorizing facts. My goal is to help students build a solid foundation by understanding how the body's systems work together in both health and disease.
Psychology

Psychology

I am a third-year medical student with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a strong foundation in psychology and behavioral science. My coursework has covered human development, learning, cognition, behavior, psychological disorders, and the biological factors that influence mental health. I help students break down complex theories, distinguish between similar concepts, and apply their knowledge to real-world examples and exam questions. My goal is to make psychology engaging, understandable, and easier to remember.
USMLE

USMLE

As a third-year medical student, I have completed extensive coursework in anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, pathology, pharmacology, and the foundational medical sciences. I passed the USMLE Step 1 on my first attempt and earned a Community Medicine Program Certification at Ross University School of Medicine. Through my medical training, I have worked extensively with multiple USMLE-style question banks and have developed a strong understanding of the concepts, clinical reasoning, and test-taking strategies required for success. My goal as a tutor is to help students build confidence by understanding the "why" behind the material, not just memorizing facts.
