I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Finance, where I developed a strong foundation in mathematics, quantitative analysis, statistics, and problem-solving. I also have a full school year of experience tutoring students in mathematics, an experience that was very successful and reinforced my interest in helping students become more confident in math. I am especially interested in working with students in grades 6–10, with a focus on prealgebra, Algebra 1, geometry, and foundational middle-school mathematics. I believe students learn best when they understand not only how to solve a problem, but also why the solution works.
In addition to my tutoring experience, I have worked with students in a classroom setting as a substitute teacher, working with students across different grade levels and adapting to different learning styles and academic needs. My tutoring approach is patient, supportive, and practical. I first identify what a student is struggling with, explain the concept in a way that makes sense to them, and then work through practice problems together until they are comfortable solving problems independently. I also focus on building strong fundamentals so students can carry those skills into future math courses.
My goal is to help students improve both their mathematical skills and their confidence. Whether a student needs help understanding a difficult concept, completing homework, preparing for a test, or strengthening their overall foundation, I aim to create a comfortable environment where they can ask questions, make mistakes, and learn from them. I am available for after-school tutoring and look forward to helping students make meaningful progress in mathematics.
