Hello! I am a certified educator with more than 20 years of classroom experience. I hold a master's degree in Exceptional Student Education and credentials in English, Reading, ESOL, Gifted Education, and Civics. I have earned Florida's Civics Seal of Excellence and was selected for the Florida Department of Education's Capitol Complex Experience.
In 2026, I served as an AP Reader for the AP U.S. Government and Politics Exam. This gave me valuable insight into College Board rubrics and what students must do to earn points on AP free-response questions.

My teaching approach is structured, supportive, and individualized. I identify each student's strengths, needs, and goals, then create targeted lessons with clear explanations, modeling, guided practice, independent application, and immediate feedback. I also teach students to analyze mistakes, recognize patterns, and avoid repeating the same errors.
For SAT and ACT preparation, students learn to recognize question types, eliminate incorrect choices, manage their time, and support answers with passage evidence. For Civics and AP Government, I help students understand challenging concepts, connect foundational documents to government principles, analyze stimulus-based questions, and construct strong written responses.
Students make the greatest progress when they feel comfortable asking questions and understand why an answer is correct. My goal is to build skills, confidence, independence, and academic success.
