I’m Mrs. B, a certified Florida Biology and AP Biology teacher with over 14 years of classroom experience helping students of all levels master scientific concepts and feel confident in their understanding of the natural world.
My teaching career has focused on guiding students through both Florida’s Biology End-of-Course (EOC) exam and the College Board AP Biology exam, with lessons designed to make biology clear, visual, and engaging. I believe that every student can succeed in science when the subject is taught in a way that connects complex ideas to real-world experiences.
In my tutoring sessions, I combine concept-based teaching with practical strategies. I use diagrams, practice questions, and guided reasoning to help students move from memorization to real comprehension. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s learning style — whether that means slowing down to review foundations or diving deeper into high-level exam prep.
Outside of the classroom, I create interactive science materials, design EOC and AP study guides, and collaborate with other educators to make biology more accessible for all learners. My goal is to make science less intimidating and more exciting — to help students not just pass biology, but truly understand it.
