Hi there! I’m Yedisel—an energetic, bird-loving, number-crunching tutor with a heart for helping others learn. I’ve been tutoring for nearly three years now, and I currently work at Miami Dade College as one of their most in-demand Math and Science tutors. Whether it’s Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, or even beginner Chemistry and Biology, I’m here to break it down step-by-step and make it make sense.

I graduated from Westland Hialeah Senior High School as a summa cum laude student while earning my first Associate in Arts degree from Miami Dade College. I’m now wrapping up a second AA in Accounting and planning to pursue my bachelor’s at FIU. Education has always been important to me, but nothing compares to the joy I feel when I see a student’s face light up after understanding a concept they’ve struggled with for weeks.

One of my favorite moments? Helping two GED students who had failed their math portion multiple times finally pass—on their first try after just two months working with me. That’s the kind of impact I live for.

I adjust my teaching style to fit each student, but I always aim to keep things calm, clear, and focused on why we do what we do—not just how. Outside of tutoring, I’m 20 years old, I have two quirky Quaker parrots and a flock of chatty budgies, and yes, I could talk about birds all day if you let me.
