Hi, I'm Raphael. I am a retired New York City public school teacher with over thirty years experience teaching Regents Physics to high school students. I earned my Bachelors and my Masters degree, both in physics, from Brooklyn College (City University of New York).

I know physics is tough. It was tough for me! I remember going home at night after my intro physics course in college asking myself, "should I really major in this?" I'm glad I did, for physics while tough, is also a fascinating field, and can be a lot of fun.

My aim is not to make physics easy. Things that are worthwhile are often not easy. However, I will make it easier. Having taught this subject so long, I know the types of errors students often make, and I've developed many tips that I've used in my classes that have helped students avoid those errors.

Most of all, I want to show you more than a set of tricks and tips to help you do better on tests. Learning should not just be about high test scores. Learning physics should be about understanding basic concepts, about seeing those ideas in everyday life. And finally, I want to allow you to succeed in physics so that instead of getting frustrated, you can get to the part where you see it as fascinating and even fun.
