Hi! I’m Harry. I’m a native Mandarin speaker and fluent in English, with years of experience tutoring Mandarin one-on-one. My teaching approach is creative and effective: I relate Hanzi (Chinese characters) to visual imagery and connect Mandarin pronunciations to familiar English sounds. This helps students internalize correct pronunciation through meaningful associations, not by rote repetition. It’s about building strong, intuitive neural connections.

My appreciation for Mandarin actually deepened as I studied English as a second language.
